SiN-EV annual meeting will be held at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana on Tuesday, June 2nd 2026.
Two distinguished lecturers already confirmed their attendance:
- Tijana Jovanović-Talisman, the leader of the Jovanovic-Talisman Lab within the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope in California and an associate professor at the Department of Cancer Biology and Molecular Medicine. She is a leading researcher in the field of super-resolution microscopy and nanobiology, using novel techniques to investigate biological mechanisms, develop new diagnostic assays, and advance therapeutics.
- Rienk Nieuwland, the chair of the Amsterdam Vesicle Center of the Amsterdam University Medical Center. He is currently the chair of the Scientific Reproducibility Subcommittee at ISEV and is also the co-founder of the Netherlands Society for Extracellular Vesicles (NLSEV). His work focuses on isolation, detection, functional characterization, and standardization of concentration measurements of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in human body fluids for biomarker exploration, and he is a leading researcher in the field of EV flow cytometry.
Additionally, Carlos Jesus, the president of the Student Network on Extracellular Vesicles (SNEV), will present the global virtual network for students and early career researchers in the field of extracellular vesicles, affiliated with ISEV. SNEV provides a platform for students and early career researchers to discuss research, share knowledge, build networks, and establish collaborations within the EV community. Alongside his leadership at SNEV, Carlos conducts research on extracellular vesicle bioengineering, focusing on strategies to enhance EV targeting in cardiac applications for regenerative medicine, as well as on the scale-up of EV production.
There will also be ample opportunities for attendees to present their research.
