We are interested in advancing the knowledge of EVs as vehicles of cell-pathogen communication, using HIV-human and fungi-human interactions as model systems. Furthermore, we collaborate with several clinical partners on discovery of new EV-based diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers (concentration/size, proteins, miRNAs, DNA) of diverse human diseases. Our laboratory also serves as a training site for MSc or PhD students and clinicians interested in EVs.
